About me

As I wrote in my introduction, I was one of those people who felt like something was lacking in my life and who kept thinking “somehow things will work out.”  I was in my 20’s and it did seem like there was time.  But I kept having the same problems and began to see patterns.  But, I had no idea how to change them. That’s when I went to a therapist.  And that’s when “things” began to finally “work out” 🙂

It was while I was in therapy that I saw why I did what I did, the reasons for the patterns and how to change them.  I learned how to find my own voice, that inner source of wisdom which to this day has never failed me.  At the time I had a very successful career working in the film industry in Los Angeles and after a year of therapy decided that it was time to take a “walkabout.”  I ended up traveling around the world for a few years, learning about other cultures, places, people, and myself.  When I returned to the United States, home, I knew without a doubt that my calling was to help others the way that I had been helped.  My purpose was to become a therapist.

Since then, following graduate school and years of training, I opened my own office and for the past 10 years have been working with individuals, couples, and families. This work has been the most amazing journey of all.  I have learned how resilient, strong, and beautiful people truly are. It is so rewarding to see them connect to their true selves and move forward on their true path with confidence and grace.

I thank them and I thank you for reading this and considering sharing your journey with me.
